Almost every business out there has a website. It’s where you feature your products or services, and it tells customers how to get in touch with you, or find you physically.
Websites are wonderful for showcasing your offerings, but you want to show off your expert knowledge as well.
This is where having a blog helps your business. Well written articles that expand on your offerings, or provide tips and tricks for your industry, can show your customers that you really do know what you’re doing.

What is a blog?
“Blog” is an abbreviated version of “weblog,” which is a term used to describe websites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information.
WordPress Support
Maintaining a blog allows potential clients to find your business through basic web searching on a topic. It improves the SEO of your website and showcases the knowledge of your business.
Okay, but how does that work?
When a potential customer or client is searching for a “How to” on Google, your blog post, titled “How to do a thing your business does” comes up. They click, read it, find some useful information, and then follow the suggestion that they use you to help them do the thing they searched for.
Now it’s a no-brainer. Since they still don’t really know “how” (even thought they read that great article) they will click the link that takes them to the page that sells your product or service.
You’ve made it simple for that potential customer to learn a little about what you do through the blog post topic, and that post sent them right into the meat (that’s the selling pages) of your website.
Other benefits of routinely creating blog posts:
Increases your SEO (that’s Search Engine Optimization)
SEO is basically how Google ranks your website. When you use the right combination of keywords, article length and link building techniques, Google puts your ranks you web pages higher in the search results, and you’ll get more clicks.
