Book Review: Too Wyrd

*I was provided with this book, Too Wyrd, for free so I could read it and create this review.  All opinions are my own.*

Too Wyrd

Sarah Buhrman has created a fantastic story in Too Wyrd.  Magic, runes, and Norse mythology abound in this book.  Throw in a few demons, a cult and a detective looking to accuse the hero and I did my best to speed through the pages.

Nicola is a mother, herbalist and Heathen witch who is just living life like we all are.  Enter her friend Joseph who throws her life into turmoil when he tells her her step-sister has gone missing after joining a cult.  Nicola is compelled to go find her step-sister and she delves into the underbelly of the magical community.

There is a lot of action as this story gets going.  Various friends and foes appear to either help or hinder Nicola’s search.  Sarah’s imagination knows no bounds as she describes some of the magical (or perhaps demonic) creatures our heroes encounter.

Calling on old friends, and her ex-husband, Nicola and Joseph stumble through the worlds of street kids and magical beings, and a police investigation.  A real page turner, I found this book a very easy read, and not so complex that I couldn’t get away with only reading a page or two at a time.

Unlike a lot of books I’ve reviewed, Too Wyrd had no glaring spelling or grammatical errors.  That made it quite a refreshing read for me!
